Burlington Waugh’s were asked to propose a lighting control system for this project by Harley Haddow Consultants in June 2018.

Burlington Waugh were asked to provide a controls solution for the Northumbria University Students Union after several maintenance visits had revealed lighting problems throughout the building.

Burlington Waugh’s involvement with the National Museum Of Scotland started with the occasional maintenance visit when our director worked as a service engineer for the large AV installer Northern Light who were based in Edinburgh.

Burlington Waugh began a lighting replacement programme in the Hospital in 2012, the remit was to replace the old fluorescent lighting in corridors, plant rooms and office spaces with a modern LED equivalent, improve control and save energy where possible.

As a company based in Edinburgh with the vast majority of past and present staff residing locally, we are again privileged to work within the castle which has been around since the 11th century, and any involvement in its history, no matter how small, is a point of personal pride.
